Lending Procedures

Proper procedures should be detailed enough to allow a team member to complete a task that they have never done before. 

Without procedures, as time goes by, tasks and actions performed by your staff deviate from the standard and cause long-term issues. In a worst-case scenario tasks go undone, costing your institution time and revenue.

 It does not take much to create an issue or deficiency that could go unidentified for years. With proper procedures, someone covering for a team member out sick, or a new employee filling an open position, can step into the role and complete the task without minimal supervision.

Each Procedure will have screen prints and step by step instructions for each task and responsibility.

In my last role as Senior Lender for a small credit union I walked into a department that had no loan  procedures. Within six months I had put together a Lending procedure manual with detailed procedures for the both the core system, Corelation Keystone, and the Loan Origination System, the Encompass Banker system. This procedure manual was over 225 pages and consisted of 60 lending procedures.
